Indie Dev Talks
Web design & development
Introduction
Indie Dev Talks needed a proper home for a weekly podcast about building software as one person — not a generic Podbean skin, and not a Substack that looks like every other newsletter.
We built a bespoke site on Cloudflare: strong brand typography, episode listings pulled live from Apple Podcasts, and a layout that makes it obvious where to listen, subscribe and catch up.
The brief
The show already had an audience on YouTube and Apple Podcasts. What it did not have was a site that felt like the brand — weekly conversations about real revenue, honest teardowns and shipping alone, without looking like a template podcast page.
- Brand first. Typography, motion and layout needed to feel indie and editorial, not corporate media.
- Episodes that stay fresh. New shows drop weekly — the site had to pull listings automatically instead of hand-updating HTML.
- Fast and simple. Listeners should find the latest episode and the subscribe links in seconds on a phone.
What we built
A custom static site served from Cloudflare, with a small Worker that fetches and caches episode metadata from Apple Podcasts. The homepage leads with the show identity, a clear listen path, and recent episodes that update themselves.
Privacy, cookies and terms pages are included. SEO foundations — canonical URLs, Open Graph, and clean structure — were part of the launch, not an afterthought.
Built for a living show. Episodes load via an API route with caching, so the marketing site stays fast while the catalogue grows every week.
The result
A dedicated home for Indie Dev Talks at indiedevtalks.com — branded, fast, and wired to the live episode feed.
